Dispatch from Atrium 1

EDITOR’S NOTE: The children’s formation in Atrium 1 (ages 3-6 years old) has evolved a lot in the past six months. Savannah Merchant is a volunteer who works with the children every Sunday. (Click here for her “In conversation…” interview.) She offers the following update to the Saint Philip’s community:

We can really see the spiritual growth of the children in the 3-6 Atrium through the way their artwork has changed over the program year. In the beginning they would draw pictures of their dogs, rainbows, and family members. Recently, their artwork has become more contemplative and illustrative of the scripture we’ve been discussing. See below Olivia's interpretation of the mustard seed, Lorelei’s drawing of Jesus on the cross, and Ferne’s drawing of God in the sky as the sun.

The other volunteers and I are grateful to work with the children and their families to notice God working in their lives in so many ways.
