Wednesday’s topic

Mosaic Community Night is a midweek, intergenerational gathering for fellowship, dinner, prayer, and study at Saint Philip’s. All are welcome every Wednesday.

Mosaic will meet only six more times before the summer hiatus begins. Mark your calendar for the interesting and interactive topics planned:

April 19

Savannah Merchant

Join parishioner and volunteer, Savannah Merchant, for an evening discussing bible-stories—but not the warm fuzzy kind.

Savannah invites you to join her in a participatory discussion of some of the angstier stories of the bible, and to explore what you think they might tell us about humanity, God, and their relationship.

Savannah wandered into Saint Philip's about a year ago and leads formation for the 3-6 year olds on Sunday mornings. She's also involved with the Kitchen on a Mission committee and helps with Mosaic dinners. Her qualification for facilitating this topic is that she has spent much of her life doubting, fearing, loving, raging at, and ultimately seeking God—and would like you to share your story, too.

You can learn more about Savannah by clicking here to read her “In Conversation…” interview.

April 26
The word liturgy means “the work of the people,” which is a reminder that worship is not a performance by a few but the participation of many. Short narrations will explain the significance of different parts of the Episcopal liturgy.

May 3
Parishioner and Parent Formation Group member, Ani Weinman, will lead a story-based deep dive into the Book of Acts.

May 10 and 17
The Women’s Bible Study group will facilitate continued conversation about the Book of Acts.

May 24
Summer send off! Enjoy a catered meal to celebrate the generous work of the Hospitality Team.

5:15pm Prayer in the Chapel of the Nativity
