Have your pet blessed

On Saturday, October 8, Saint Philip’s will host a variety of events for children and adults.

Clergy and staff look forward to welcoming you!

8:30am
The Blessing of the Animals worship service will begin outside near the pet memorial and move inside the church. Last year’s service welcomed lots of dogs, some cats, a turtle, and a rabbit. (Stuffed animals will be available for children who would like to participate but don’t have a pet.) Masks will be optional this year.

There are different opportunities to volunteer and demonstrate a spirited Saint Philip’s welcome to the greater Tucson community. Two examples include keeping water bowls for pets filled with water and offering directions to visitors.

Email Mtr Mary at Mary.Trainor@StPhilipsTucson.org to sign up as a volunteer or get more information.

Donations to support Saint Philip’s food pantry are welcome. The following items are especially needed:

  • canned fruit, vegetables, and soup

  • cereal

  • granola bars

  • pasta and pasta sauce

  • peanut butter in plastic containers

  • ramen noodles

  • spam

Contributions can be dropped off on the benches outside the East Gallery throughout the day’s activities. Thank you!
