Coolers needed

Saint Philip’s will host two major events the weekend of October 8 and October 9.

On Saturday, October 8, the Animal Faire will begin with a Blessing of the Animals service. On Sunday, October 9, a ministry fair will be held between the 9:00am and 11:15am services and a “Welcome Back” party (with food and beverages) will follow the 11:5am service.

Organizers would be grateful to borrow 3 large coolers for the weekend—preferably 70 quart size. Please email Mtr Mary at Mary.Trainor@StPhilipsTucson.org if you can support the fun-filled weekend in this way.

Come to the Animal Faire
The 8:30am service will begin outdoors in the pet memorial and then process inside the church where the blessing will take place.

Following the blessing, there will be a host of activities:

  • animal and wildlife demonstrations (a sheriff’s K-9 unit, free micro-chips for pets, a Harris hawk, and more!)

  • family craft activities for all ages (face painting, guided art projects, and more!)

  • an art show and sale

Stay tuned for more details about this event as well as Sunday’s ministry fair and “Welcome Back” party.
