Dinner Concert

Saint Philip’s in the Hills Episcopal Church is hosting a brand new concert series. Its mission is to provide a performance opportunity for rising musical stars in the Tucson area. The events are concerts that feature an hour of special chamber music, preceded by a light supper.

The first dinner concert on Monday, October 17, will feature Tyler Kebo on marimba and Hannah Lui on piano, with a guest appearance by Homero Cerón.

Dinner will start at 6:00pm and the concert will begin at 7:00pm. Seating is limited so reserve your place by calling Kay Couch at 520-299-2062. If you would like more information, please call Gwen Powell at 520-289-5641.

A donation is requested to pay for the musicians and the meal. The suggested amount is $25 per person and $50 per family. This is an outreach program and no one will be turned away. The intention is to share a dinner and enjoy an evening with beautiful young musicians.

The dinner will be held in the Murphey Gallery and the concert will be in the sanctuary—just west of the Gallery. As per Saint Philip’s current COVID-19 policy, masks are optional. (Variants and local conditions are monitored so adjustments can be made as circumstances require.)

Future concerts will feature Laura Roland (violin) and Sarah Roland (cello) on February 20, 2023 and Hannah Lui (piano) and Joshua Thai (violin) on April 17, 2023. Mark your calendars!
