Technical updates

There are two “good news” updates!

Live-stream system
It has taken some time but Saint Philip’s live-streaming system is now installed and up and running. Thank you to everyone for being patient! A few additional items to enhance the system’s capability have been approved, and will be added when the equipment arrives.

There are multiple platforms on which Saint Philip’s live-streams can be viewed. That can be helpful—until technical and copyright issues interfere. The most stable platform on which to view live-streams is Saint Philip’s home page: www.StPhilipsTucson.org.

It is good to know that there is always a delay between the actual event and the live-stream feed. For example, if the service begins at 9:00am and you open the website exactly at 9:00am, you may need to refresh the page a few times until the live-stream feed begins.

Loop hearing system
Parishioners with the Loop function on their hearing aids can once again take advantage of this helpful resource. It has been repaired and offers enhanced sound in the area between the organ console and the altar.

If you have problems or questions with the Loop system, contact staff member Chris Campbell at Christopher.Campbell@StPhilipsTucson.org.

In addition to repairing the Loop system, a proposal is being worked on to replace some of the older microphones and to install additional speakers in the church.
