Saint Philip's team
From 6:30am-9:30am on the first Friday of each month, Saint Philip's volunteers helped Prince Elementary School’s once-monthly Mobile Food Pantry.
On Friday, December 2, volunteers served 88 households. Of those households, 32 were first-time visitors to the pantry; 56 were returning households. Those 88 households included 188 adults and 235 children.
Saint Philip’s volunteers were Nancy Atherton, Dcn Susan Erickson, John Mielke, Dcn Leah Sandwell-Weiss, and Margaret and Toby Voge who joined a seasoned team from St. Francis in the Foothills Methodist Church.
Thank you to parishioner Marilyn Lindell who contributed two large boxes of new backpacks. The school social worker said they will be welcome as new students always arrive after the Christmas break.
