A full day

This year, Saint Philip’s Blessing of the Animals service will be on Saturday, October 8. Saint Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of animals so the blessing service traditionally occurs on or close to his feast day in October.

The 8:30am service will begin outdoors in the pet memorial and then process inside the church where the blessing will take place.

Following the blessing, there will be opportunities to meet with representatives from pet therapy groups, watch presentations from the sheriff’s K-9 unit, and have your pet micro-chipped at no cost.

Children will be able to enjoy face painting and participate in guided art projects.

More vendors and fun, engaging experiences for children are being planned so mark your calendars and plan on being part of this full day of fun.

Volunteers will be needed and a formal invitation to help will be made later. Stay tuned for more details.
