Beyond parish walls

Saint Philip’s clergy and lay volunteers stay connected with several communities beyond the parish campus.

Eucharistic services have resumed at The Fountains, a retirement community on the west side of Tucson. They are held at 10:00am on Sundays.

Saint Philip’s parishioners Sunny Bal and Bill Sartor lead the services, residents participate as readers, and The Rev’d Chotard Doll (a resident of The Foundations) preaches.

Dcn Anne Strong is one of several ministers who officiates services of communion at Brookdale Santa Catalina on Tucson’s north side.

Saint Philip’s staff member, Christopher Campbell, shares communion and leads Bible Study at Hacienda on the River at 2:00pm on Tuesdays. (Parishioner John Koza will volunteer at Hacienda this summer when Christopher is out of town.)

If you know someone who would appreciate a visit from a lay eucharistic minister or if you would like to learn about volunteering as one, please contact Fr Peter at peter.helman@stphilipstucson.org.
