A new book

Saint Philip’s anti-racism discussion group is approaching its second year of being. The group is about to conclude its discussion of We Cry Justice and will be on hiatus from Monday, July 4 through August.

Discussions will resume on Sunday, September 11 with a new book, The Distance Between Us: A Memoir by Reyna Grande. It “describes her childhood torn between the United States and Mexico, and shines a light on the experiences, fears, and hopes of those who choose to make the harrowing journey across the border.”

The anti-racism group welcomes new members to participate in September, especially as the focus of conversation comes “closer to home” in Southern Arizona.
