First Sunday Drive

On the first Sunday of every month, Saint Philip’s Feeding Ministry organizes a collection of food and/or other items to support a local non-profit, as well as the parish’s food pantry.

The First Sunday Drive on August 7 will benefit students at Rio Vista Elementary School as they begin a new school year.

Please bring new backpacks, pencils, pen-and-pencil holders, crayons, highlighters, etc. You can leave them on the large chest outside the sanctuary or in the church office outside Mtr Taylor’s office.

You can also contribute by writing a check to Saint Philip’s Church and writing “August First Sunday Drive” in the memo line. Please leave your check in Mtr Taylor’s mailbox in the church office.

Saint Philip’s Food Pantry
Donations are needed! Volunteers will be grateful to receive the following items especially:

• canned fruit, vegetables, and soup

• cereal

• granola bars

• ramen noodles

• spam

A very spirited “Thank you!” to all who have already demonstrated extraordinary generosity; every donation makes a difference to the food pantry’s clients.

Contributions can be dropped off during regular food pantry hours: 9:00am-12:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the church office or on Sunday mornings on the large chest outside the sanctuary. Thank you!
