'Christmas at Sea'

The Seamen's Church Institute is a ministry that advocates for the personal, professional, and spiritual well-being of merchant mariners and seafarers around the world. One of their projects is the Christmas at Sea project that gives handmade, warm, knitted scarves, hats and mittens to those who make their living on the water at the coldest time of the year.

Members of Saint Philip’s Fiber Guild have been busy making items to send to the mariners and seafarers. Saint Philip’s children and youth have been busy creating cards that will accompany the scarves and hats. All three items will be blessed at the 9:00am service on Sunday, January 7.

The knitters and crocheters meet at 10:30am on Saturday mornings in room 10. All are welcome no matter your experience—and the group is happy to teach anyone how to knit or crochet.
