Christmas break

The usual schedule of office hours, worship services, parish ministries, and formation opportunities will change during the Christmas break from Monday, December 25-Saturday, January 6.

Office hours

  • The office will be closed from Monday, December 25-Sunday, January 7. Normal hours will resume on Monday, January 8.

  • The Bell & Tower e-newsletter will take a one week break and not publish on Friday, December 29. The normal schedule will resume on Friday, January 5.

Worship services

  • Sunday, December 24-services at 7:45am and 10:00am (without choir)

  • Monday, December 25-a single service at 10:00am (with choir)

  • Sunday, December 31-a single service at 10:00am (without choir)

  • The mid-week Holy Eucharist healing service will be suspended for two weeks and resume on Tuesday, January 9.

  • Come & See will have neither a Zoom or live service on Sunday, December 24, and Sunday, December 31. Both options will resume on Sunday, January 7. Contact Dcn Tom Lindell at tlindell@arizona.edu with any questions.

Parish ministries

  • The food pantry will be closed during the break. It will resume operation on Tuesday, January 9. Contact parishioner Nancy Atherton at ncatherton@gmail.com with any questions.

  • The Fiber Guild will not meet on Saturdays, December 23 and December 30. Gatherings will resume on Saturday, January 6. Contact parishioner Helene Woodhams at helenewoodhams@comcast.net with any questions.

Discussion groups/Formation

  • Sunday anti-racism discussions will be on hiatus December 24 and December 31. The group will resume meeting on Sunday, January 7, 2024. Contact parishioner Shirin McArthur at shirin@shirinmcarthur.com with any questions.

  • Tuesday morning Bible Study will not meet on December 26, January 2, or January 9. When the group resumes on Tuesday, January 16, it will study the Gospel of Matthew. Contact facilitator Dcn Susan Erickson at susanerickson27@gmail.com with any questions.

  • Mosaic will take a break for three Wednesdays. On December 20 everyone is invited to help decorate the church (see related story) and there will be no activity on December 27 and January 3. Mosaic will resume on Wednesday, January 10.

  • Joys & Fears of Aging will meet on Thursday, December 14, and then take a three week break. It will resume its usual Thursday meetings on January 11.

  • Saint Philip’s Men’s Group will meet on Friday, December 22, but not on Friday, December 29. It will resume its weekly meetings on Friday, January 5.
