What a wonderful world

What is God’s intent?

It’s easy to get lost in the conversation about creation and its care. The discussion often leans into the extremes. The result can be paralysis, which isn’t helpful either.

As part of Saint Philip’s focus on creation care during the 2022-2023 program year, an assortment of programming is planned.

Next in the lineup is a forum on Sunday, October 30, from approximately 10:15am-11:00am in the East Gallery. It is titled, “What a Wonderful World.”

Mtr Mary Trainor will go to the beginning of our story when the Creator developed this world. She will focus on Old Testament guidance about what God intends for the care of the Earth and its inhabitants. She promises, in the words of NPR, no “rant or slant” on this topic, which can so quickly divide us. Rather, she will provide a balanced view based on writings from the first testament of God’s story, as well as from the book by Sandra L. Richter, Stewards of Eden: What Scripture Says About the Environment and Why It Matters.

All are welcome!
