A good start

Since Saint Philip’s launched its Elder Care ministry this past February, many volunteers have “adopted” senior parishioners. This involves making a phone call every week or two to check in and connect.

The parish has 183 members in their 80s, 56 members in their 90s, and 5 people who are older than 100 so there are still a few people who would welcome a regular phone call. Staying connected and showing kindness in this way doesn’t take a lot of time and is greatly appreciated by the elder care recipient.

If you are able to volunteer, please contact Dcn Tom Lindell at tlindell@email.arizona.edu or parishioner John Koza at jdkoza007@gmail.com.
