Meet the artists

The Tucson Pastel Society’s 2023 winter charity show, “Art from the Heart,” will hang in the Murphey Gallery from Sunday, February 5-Thursday, March 30. Proceeds from sales will benefit Saint Philip’s and the TPS’s Renovation Fund.

All are invited to meet some of the artists at the opening reception from 12:15pm-2:00pm this Sunday, February 5.

Pastels were first developed during the Renaissance and gained popularity after their use by Impressionists. Pastels are a dry medium of unlimited, intense colors and are made by combining pure powdered pigments with a binder.

After the opening reception this Sunday, access to the show will be available the following days and times:

10:00am-2:00pm on Saturdays
9:00am-1:00pm on Sundays
10:00am-3:00pm Mondays-Thursdays
