Laundry Love support

Laundry Love is an outreach ministry of Saint Philip’s that partners with Interfaith Community Services (ICS) and Northgate Laundromat. Volunteers assemble individual packages that contain a sheet with details (instructions, directions, times, etc.), 3 detergent pods, 3 dryer sheets, and 3 prepaid “gift cards” worth $4.00 each. The packages are distributed by ICS every week on Wednesdays from 10:00am-12:00pm, and the gift cards are redeemable for one regular wash and one regular dryer load at Northgate Laundromat.

A spirited thank you to Siew Lilley of Northwest Community Friends Church who continues to coordinate parish donations to Saint Philip’s Laundry Love ministry.

Siew recently delivered 10 packets of Laundry Love supplies. These packets, along with 20 packets funded by Saint Philip’s parishioners, will be delivered to the Rincon office of Interfaith Community Services for distribution in June.

Siew also delivered $120 in financial donations from parishioners at Northwest Community Friends Church. This will make it possible to create more packets for the summer.

Donations of detergent pods and dryer sheets have been secured so members of Saint Philip’s are encouraged to support Laundry Love with monetary donations—U.S. coins, cash, or checks/online donations are all welcome. Checks can be made payable to “Saint Philip’s Church” with “Laundry Love” written in the memo line. Online donations can be made through Saint Philip’s secure website when you select “Laundry Love” from the drop-down menu.

Thank you!
