Bikes for the Beloved?

Our Beloved in the Desert Episcopal Service Corps members are approaching 2 months of living in community, serving, and praying here in Tucson. They’ve been at their intern-placement sites since August 2 and serve 32 hours per week at The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, Habitat for Humanity, and the Boys & Girls Club of Tucson (16 hours) and the Episcopal Campus Ministry (16 hours).

We are deeply grateful for your continued prayers for their success, growth, and joy as they continue serving this community we call home.

As the weather grows cooler, the Beloveds find themselves in need of 2 bikes to help navigate Tucson for practical reasons (they have only one car to share) and for recreation (The Loop is truly a marvelous feature of Tucson).

Do you have a bike that doesn’t get much use? Is it just collecting dust and in the way? If so, perhaps you would consider donating said dusty bike to the Beloved house. (Should there be a bike lock or bike helmet, as well, then that would be greatly treasured, too.)

If you’re interested or would like more information, please contact Alex Swain (Assistant for Beloved in the Desert Community Life) at alexanderd.swain@gmail.com, or at 248-767-8416. Your bike will be loved and make a real difference to the Beloved house. Thank you!
