PCI info table Sunday

Pima County Interfaith (PCI) is partnering with not-for-profits across the state to collect signatures requesting a citizen referendum on recently passed state tax legislation.

Saint Philip’s PCI reps, the Rev’d Leah Sandwell-Weiss and Jane Prescott-Smith, will be available this Sunday to explain the devastating impact of this legislation. The 2.5% Flat Tax combined with the 4.5% cap on total income taxes paid will deplete the General Fund by $2.4 billion, more than 20%. A third bill creates an entirely new tax filing category to shelter certain types of income.

Look for them after both services this coming Sunday, August 29. If you can't make it to church, but would like to sign the petitions, please call Jane and she will bring them to you.
