From the Rector

Dear Friends in Christ,

I am delighted to report that we have decided to continue meeting in person for worship in the weeks ahead. Of course, we will continue to monitor public health advisories and adjust accordingly. Easter Sunday proved to work quite well and I’m thankful to all those who helped in planning, welcoming, and more.

This Sunday is our monthly Comfy Space family service at 10:00am. We will livestream that in-person service from our children’s courtyard. The seating capacity is 90 people, and we will have lots of little ones and their families there — though with choir and families we have reached capacity for this weekend.

We have, however, opened registration today for the remaining services for this month, so that folks can plan ahead, using the following link:

Of particular note is that April 18 is the Bishop’s visitation. You will see that on that day we have two outdoor, in-person services planned. One is at 8:00am and one at 10:00am. The 10:00am will have more music but will, of course, be a bit warmer!

We will not have a pre-recorded service going forward so that we can focus our planning and work on ensuring the in-person and live-streaming go smoothly. The livestream will appear on our website, YouTube, Facebook, and Vimeo so there will be no shortage of ways to take part online.

We will be looking at other options in the weeks ahead to deal with the heat as it rises, as well as trying to accommodate more people for worship as soon as possible. The current restrictions do not allow congregational singing inside the building so we will continue to worship outside so long as the heat allows so that we can sing together.

Please bear with a certain amount of uncertainty as we adjust to changing guidelines, temperatures, technology requirements, and more. We are thrilled to be back in person and looking forward to each week being a little smoother and more seamless as we get back to at least semi-normal while on a path to normal!

Yours in Christ,

Fr Robert
