Sunday with our Bishop

Last week, our Saint Nicholas Choir and Lay Clerks sang at the Comfy Space liturgy, which was held live in the Education Wing Courtyard at Saint Philip's. It was a lovely moment as parishioners gathered for the celebration of the mass with a live choir to sing Offertory and Communion anthems!

In fact, we found this opportunity to be so meaningful that we decided to ask the youths to sing again this coming Sunday, April 18, at the 10:00am service, when Bishop Jennifer A. Reddall will be visiting. We hope some of you will be present to participate in the live service, and the liturgy will also be live-streamed for those of you who plan to stay at home.

This Eastertide is a period of adjustment for our choir folks, as we gradually move from YouTube services to outdoor worship. The adult choristers are not yet rehearsing live or singing at services--but they continue to meet for weekly practices via Zoom. We hope very much to be back to live rehearsals and services in September, as the new choir season starts.

In the meantime, our lay clerks will sing for most live services this spring, and we can enjoy these special opportunities when the youths join them.

We hope to see you this weekend!
