Monthly Requiem mass

Praying for those who have died is one of the most beautiful and spontaneous intentions of Christian devotion.

While we offer prayers at every mass for the faithful departed we do this in a more singular way by celebrating a Requiem mass. We acclaim the saving work of Christ’s death and resurrection and remember before God the souls of our departed loved ones and friends, giving thanks for their lives and praying that light perpetually will shine upon them.

Beginning this month, Saint Philip's will celebrate a Requiem on the last Friday of each month at our regular 12:15pm midday mass. These services will be streamed live on Facebook and Saint Philip’s homepage (www.stphilipstucson.org). We will pray for the repose of parishioners who died in the prior month, as well as for those who died in the same month one year ago.

The March Requiem will be at 12:15pm on Friday, March 26. Submit names for whom you desire prayers by clicking here. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, March 24.

In addition to the monthly mass, we are also happy to celebrate a Requiem upon request from any parishioner, especially upon the news of the death of a loved one. For more information, please contact Fr Peter Helman, Parochial Vicar (peter.helman@stphilipstucson.org).
