How planning matters

Dear Friends in Christ,

I remain so grateful for the many ways you all give and serve at Saint Philip’s. Our stewardship campaign theme this year is “How Firm a Foundation.” You have shown again and again how firm that foundation is here. As we prepare our budget for 2022, it is crucial that we have a clear sense of what we can expect in terms of continued support for the community and its ministries.

If you have not yet had a chance to pledge, I ask that you do so. Each and every Sunday, indeed each and every day, your pledge shapes what we can offer and how we serve. Whether it’s the music we offer to God, the food we offer to the hungry, the pastoral care we offer to those who are ill, the formation we offer in classes and study groups, the comfort we offer to those who mourn, the money we give to partners and neighbors in need, the sanctuary we offer with our grounds and gardens, or the prayers and praise we offer day in and day out…your giving makes it happen.

Knowing in advance what your commitment is will help shape the whole community in the months ahead. Saint Philip’s has held steady through the uncertainty of the pandemic and I’m so thankful for that unwavering commitment to the many ways we offer the time, talent, and treasure of this place to the wider community. Thank you for all you’ve done and all you continue to do to keep our foundation strong and to build for the future.

Yours in Christ,

Fr Robert
