Monthly requiem service

Praying for those who have died is one of the most beautiful facets of Christian devotion.

At Saint Philip's we celebrate a requiem mass on the last Wednesday of each month, with special intentions for the faithful departed. We acclaim the saving work of Christ’s death and resurrection and remember before God the souls of our departed loved ones and friends, giving thanks for their lives, and praying that light perpetually will shine upon them.

The first requiem service of the fall will be at 12:15pm on Wednesday, October 27 in the Chapel of the Nativity. And like each midweek service, it will be streamed live to Saint Philip's website and Facebook page.

We will pray for the repose of parishioners who died in the prior month, as well as for those who died in the same month one year ago. We invite you to share the names of all those whom you would like remembered.

For more information and to submit the names, please contact Fr. Peter Helman, Parochial Vicar (peter.helman@stphilipstucson.org; 520-299-6421, ext. 133).

We are also always happy to celebrate a requiem upon request from any parishioner, especially upon the news of the death of a loved one.
