Disaster readiness is family affair

Each week during September—National Preparedness Month—Canon Nicole Krug has been coming up with at least one thing a week that families can do together. Krug, who  is the Diocesan Disaster Coordinator, says preparation can make all the difference when an emergency or disaster strikes.

Her tip for this week is to make certain that young family members are included in the discussion. “Take the time now and talk with your children to reassure them, to offer lessons on preparedness, and to make family preparedness a fun annual event.”
