October 20: Manna Bag contest

Get ready for the annual Manna Bag Contest, scheduled for 5:30pm Tuesday, October 20.

Manna Bags are important ways that hungry folks in the city can get a bite to eat, some water, a little refreshment...and not a small measure of hope. For some, the food that's in a Manna Bag could be their only meal for the day.  For others, it could be some much-needed nutrition to help power through a difficult time.

Saint Philip's has been making Manna Bags for people in need for many, many years as one of the ways our community gives life to the wider Tucson community. And we need your help! Not only do we need to make more Manna Bags to meet the community's needs, but it's also a good idea to have a Bag or two in your car to give to folks you might meet in the course of your day.

Manna Bags contain water and non-perishable food items (some snack items like granola bars, and an easily opened canned meal), and could also contain a message of love and hope to strengthen the spirits of whomever might receive the bag.

Instructions for the Manna Bag contest will be coming your way shortly! All ages are welcome in this event on Zoom. Register here.
