All Souls': Names, memento mori

Saint Philip’s will observe All Souls’ Day at 5:00pm Monday, November 2, with a solemn requiem mass live-streamed from the Chapel of the Nativity. We commend this service especially to those whose loved ones have died since November 2019.

As a way of remembering the departed, we will begin the All Souls’ requiem with a reading of the parish necrology. Ministers will light votive candles on behalf of the congregation, in honor of their loved ones. We will conclude the service with prayers at the ofrenda located in the garden portico just outside the doors to the Chapel.

We invite you to submit the names of those for whom you desire prayers by emailing Fr. Peter Helman, Parochial Vicar; or by clicking here to get a form.

Please visit the church and place your memento mori on the ofrenda. Such items may include keepsakes and photographs, among other things that remind of us our loved ones. Please follow the signs located on the steps of the Great Doors.

The ofrenda will remain in place for at least a week after November 2 in order that you may reclaim your items.
