Advent retreat

Incarnation is a theological term which means embodied. In Advent, we remember the Incarnation of the eternal Christ, who came to live on earth as a fragile human baby. During this Advent retreat day, spiritual guide and parishioner, Shirin McArthur, will guide participants in exploring the Incarnation and its meaning, then and now, through a mix of teaching, reflection questions, and imaginative storytelling. There will be time for prayer, silence, writing, and discussion as retreatants ponder the mystery of Incarnation and its impact on Jesus’s mother Mary, their Jewish culture, ourselves, and all Creation.

Location
The retreat will take place at Saint Philip’s and will include a simple Mediterranean-style lunch such as Mary and Jesus might have eaten.

Cost
A suggested donation of $25.00 is requested to cover the costs associated with this retreat. Payment may be made on the day of the retreat.
