Parishioner and Junior Youth Formation Leader, Edina Hall, was selected from a highly competitive pool of candidates to participate in Yale’s Youth Ministry Leadership program.
The course will begin in September this year and end in May, 2025. The curriculum will focus on three distinct areas:
Leadership theory in church organizations
Theological and spiritual care for youth (with a focus on mental health)
Empowerment, liberation, and justice work with youth
All themes are relevant to leading resilient, healthy, theologically rooted youth ministries.
Edina says that she applied to this particular program because it is based on empirical, scientific evidence. “As a pharmacist, I particularly appreciate evidence-based approaches. I’m very excited about the positive impact this training could have on our youth.”
We are delighted for Edina and look forward to Saint Philip’s youth benefitting from her expanded education and experience. Brava!
