Seven parishioners who have completed 50 hours of training were commissioned as Stephen Ministers on Saturday, May 18.

They are now available to meet with parishioners who would like the type of confidential support the ministers offer. Conversations are typically held for one hour once a week.

Stephen Ministry is a well-established Christian listening ministry that has trained thousands of lay people to meet with individuals confidentially, and to really hear them. Volunteers support people going through life crises, such as the death of a spouse or child, grave illness, loss of a job, or other such challenges.
