Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos Fiesta and Concert

Join us for fellowship and fundraising for NPH’s work to transform the lives of vulnerable children in Latin America and the Caribbean by supporting the homes, health services, and educational programs of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (Our Little Brothers and Sisters). Together, they help children overcome poverty and become leaders in their own communities.

On Saturday, September 29th at Saint Philip’s we will host a Fiesta and Concert. From 5:00-7:00pm, there will be free fellowship activities and snacks, and opportunities to get to know the Pequeños, play games, and learn more about the organization at the booths provided by NPH. There will also be a silent auction of artwork, and food truck food available for purchase.

Then, from 7:00-8:00pm, there will be a concert in the nave - the Saint Philip's Choirs will sing Ariel Ramírez's Misa Criolla with tenor Carlos Feliciano, The Tucson Girls Chorus will perform and the Estudiantina Troupe of NPH Mexico will perform!  The suggested donation to attend this event is $20. Signs will point you in the direction to go, and parking is available to the north or east of the Church.

On Sunday, September 30th, there will be some information shared about NPH during the Sunday announcements, the Pequeños will sing in the Liturgy, and they will be available to talk about their experiences between and after the services in the Perry Garden. Sponsorships of children and direct support will be welcomed on both Saturday and Sunday.

Each year, NPH USA arranges for student performers from an NPH home to travel to the United States for their Pequeño Tour. The Estudiantina Troupe of NPH Mexico will be in Tucson and Phoenix performing at various events from September 26th-October 9th, 2017. Over 10,000 people will be touched by the tour. Proceeds from the Pequeño Tour will help to provide basic needs—food, clothing, shelter, health care, and education for the thousands of children at NPH. Saint Philip's is the host congregation while in Tucson.
