I Was a Stranger: Guest Speaker, Workshop, and Forum

  • Saint Philip's in the Hills 4440 North Campbell Avenue Tucson, AZ, 85718 United States (map)

The Rev'd Mark Stevenson, Executive Director of Episcopal Migration Ministries, joins Saint Philip’s on Saturday, February 10th,  for a dialogue about migration, immigration and refugee resettlement.  He brings a breadth of experience working with the National Church on resettlement, and a deep compassion.  Brian Best, Executive Director of Borderlinks will join us to share a local perspective.

Please register for the dialogue, small group sessions and prayer from 9:30-12 in the Music Center at Saint Philip’s, and for a 2-hour afternoon excursion to Southside Presbyterian Church, where the Rev'd Alison J. Harrington will share the history of their engagement, and give a tour of their campus from 1-3. Mark, Brian, and Allison are partners in helping us to Pray, Give, Grow and Work to share God’s love with the world.

Mark will preach on Sunday, Feb. 11, at the 9 and 11:15 service and teach at a 10:30 Forum.

Watch for continued opportunities to serve our neighbors on the move during this time, the greatest period of forcibly displaced peoples since World War Two.  To learn more about Episcopal Migration Ministries, please check out: https://episcopalmigrationministries.org
